PERFORMERS
MAKERS
You do not need to fit neatly into the box.
Abraxas began underground and DIY, with a mission to create room for work and people that were not always being given enough visibility or opportunity.
If your practice sits across disciplines, if it is commercial in one context and experimental in another, or if you are still building the language around what you do, you can still apply.
Different practices. Different stages of practice.
Music
Musicians, live bands, instrumentalists, DJs and artists working through sound-led performance.
Performance
Dancers, performance artists, movement practitioners, burlesque, fire performers and multidisciplinary live work.
Models
Editorial, commercial, character and performance-led models with distinct presence and point of view.
Styling + Costume
Stylists, costume makers and wardrobe practitioners working across fashion, image and live performance.
Sound Design
Sound designers and sonic artists working across spatial audio, live sound, installation and atmosphere.
Other
If your practice sits somewhere else, send it anyway. The library is not meant to flatten artists into fixed categories.
Good work deserves a fair working relationship.
Fair Pay
We believe artists should be fairly paid for their time, practice, preparation and delivery.
Respect
We want clear briefs, clear expectations and space for artists to protect the integrity of their work.
Opportunity
Our aim is not only visibility. We want to create real working opportunities, repeat collaborations and useful introductions.
Representation
We remain interested in artists and practitioners who are underrepresented, overlooked or working outside familiar commercial routes.
Tell us enough to understand the work.
Send the clearest version of the work you have.
Live Evidence
For performance-led practice, live footage is often more useful than polished stills alone.
Recent Work
Show us what best represents where the practice is now, not necessarily everything you have ever made.
Context
A short explanation of what the work is, how it operates and what kind of setting suits it can help enormously.
Ambition
Tell us what you want more of: bookings, commissions, new contexts, collaborators, development or representation.
Applying does not need to feel like an audition.
We cannot promise representation or immediate work from every application, but we do want to make the process useful and respectful. If the fit is not right now, that does not mean the work has no value. We may keep artists in mind for future briefs, introductions or projects where the context makes more sense.
