We build
with what
the world gives us.
Simple Builds
Installations
Raw does not
mean unresolved.
We are strongest when the brief asks for atmosphere, texture and presence rather than technically complex scenic engineering. We source natural, reclaimed and readily available materials and compose them with restraint.
That can mean working directly with an existing events team, supporting another designer, or taking responsibility for the visual build as an external creative partner.
We start with texture, weight and what is already there.

Enough structure to transform the room.
Use what has character.
Timber, fabric, branches, rope, paper, stone, metal, reclaimed objects and materials that carry their own visual history.
Do less, deliberately.
We prefer one strong spatial gesture over ten decorative ones. The set should support the experience, not compete with it.
Work with the site.
Existing architecture, access, budget and build conditions become part of the design logic rather than problems to hide.
Keep it achievable.
We design within what our team and specialist collaborators can safely build, install and strike without pretending to be a large scenic workshop.
Inside your team or beside it.
Existing Events Team
We can plug into your production structure, develop the visual direction and hand over clear build logic to your existing suppliers and crew.
External Partner
We can take the set-design brief independently and coordinate materials, fabrication support, installation and on-site styling around the wider event.
Creative Support
If a larger production already has technical or scenic leads, we can focus on concept, materials, styling and visual cohesion.
Specialist Build
When a brief needs skills beyond our own build capability, we bring in the right fabricators, technicians or specialist makers rather than overcomplicate what should stay simple.
The set does not stop at the object.
We can shape how a set is revealed through lighting and work with our AV partners on sound, projection and technical integration where the visual idea needs it.
For briefs involving immersive or virtual layers, we can also bring in VR and digital specialists from our network and hold the visual direction between physical and digital space.
The idea still has
to survive the room.
Set design only works when it can be installed, inhabited and removed safely. We build risk thinking into the design early rather than treating it as paperwork at the end.
Assess before we build.
We review access, stability, trip points, audience proximity, fire routes, installation method and the practical conditions around the set before committing to a build approach.
Make the plan legible.
Where required, we can coordinate risk assessments, method statements and supplier information with the venue, production team and specialist contractors.
Know when to bring someone in.
Structural, electrical, rigging, fire-safety or other specialist requirements are handed to competent technicians and fabricators rather than improvised inside the creative team.
Protect the room while it is alive.
We work with venue and production teams around installation windows, audience movement, emergency access, live adjustments and strike so the visual idea does not compromise the operation of the event.
Built for the room. Or for the frame.
Temporary worlds for camera.
Compact installations, sculptural elements and spatial treatments designed around composition, movement and what the lens actually needs to see.
Interventions people can enter.
Set pieces, focal points, stages, backdrops and material interventions that transform a venue without requiring a full theatrical build.
Physical detail with a clear purpose.
Simple scenic builds and installations for shoots where texture, framing and material presence matter more than complex construction.
